Dirk the Daring shares this, wondering “Is this just cluelessness or am I missing something? Is there an innuendo related to ‘get out’? And if there isn’t, there should be.”

The only comments so far on Comics Kingdom show equal bafflement, wondering where the “gynecologist” comment comes from. One commenter notes, “There’s oblivious, and then there’s Curtis Wilkins”, which I tend to agree with.
Folks, we’re thin on the ground with upcoming posts–please do share your CIDUs!
The “gynecologist” remark is sure puzzling!
As for “get out”, I think it could be simply an innocent-enough ambiguity. One usage is in the sense of “get out of the house and go to entertainment, see more of the world”. And in the final panel, she is saying “go away, this is my house and I don’t want you here right now.”
I’m with Mitch on this one. The surrounding comics reinforce that.
I’m at a loss on “gynecologist.” I can’t even spell it on the first try. It seems too risque for a comic that’s syndicated in print but could he be saying her to-do list is masturbatory?
Also it’s been a while since I’ve looked at Curtis in color and boy, howdy has Billingsley gotten sloppy with Curtis’s hair. Michelle’s looks great, love his detail work (and his art style in general). Maybe he needs to hire a dedicated curlycuer for characters with tight little loops, though. They must get tedious to do but it looks like Curtis has been to Marge Simpson’s hairdresser.
If I look at the list of classes she’s taking, some of them could be euphemisms for various OB/GYN skills…”Theatre Training” being what to do when giving birth, same could be said for “Vocal Coaching.” But that’s quite a stretch and I don’t think that’s the joke.
I was thinking she was prepping for her college and med school applications.
Curtis was not really listening to Michelle’s litany of classes (she is an aspiring singer/dancer/actor/diva). No clue as to why Curtis said gynecologist- not a word that a middle school kid would come up with.
I’m thinking this is a girl who has plenty to be interested in in addition to her medical studies, and therefore doesn’t need to “get out”.
I can’t explain this. Curtis already knew that Michelle has aspirations to be an actress/singer/entertainer. She never said anything about being any kind of doctor that I can remember.
Every single thing she mentions has to do with performance of some kind. I think maybe he doesn’t understand what a gynecologist is, because before she was sounding matter-of-fact, and after she sounds pi$$ed.
Looking at the previous few strips, Michelle has been staying home, and just posting selfies in her house. Curtis has come to ‘get her out’, commenting on her narcissism.
The ‘gynecologist’ line is weird, but it’s supposed to be a crack on how ‘wrapped up in herself’ she is.
I guess, the censors let that line through, and not, ‘Michelle, if your head was any further up your butt…’
The only amusing thing in this relationship is that both of them are entirely self-obsessed – Michelle with being an actor/actress and Curtis with having a girlfriend (having her as a girlfriend, specifically, but I suspect he’d settle for anyone he saw as beautiful). Yeah, no idea where gynecologist came from except (as said above) that Curtis wasn’t (doesn’t ever) listen to her.
I assume Curtis tried to use a big, impressive word to impress Michelle, but ended up just showing his cluelessness.
