I think the eye may just be an attempt to do baggy eyes from tiredness. Her coffee pot is broken, so she’s very tired. So tired she confused the laminator with the copy machine.

My mind wants to solve a wacky puzzle where she used the wrong appliance to make coffee and ended up with a black eye, and is therefore tired and confused, but I think that may be overthinking an art failure on a weak gag.

That first one took me a moment, too. It’s a bit of unexpected Arlo.

I suppose the prisoner dog is simulating scratching the human visitor’s leg through the glass, but the guard dog’s greeting seems, well, gratuitous.

The dog one I think is like the trope where a woman visits her incarcerated partner and strips her top off to flash him. In this case, as dogs sometimes like to hump legs . . . .

The copier one reminds me of an old Herman comic, where a TV repairman is explaining to a couple, “Folks, the main reason you’re not getting a good picture is because you bought yourselves a microwave oven.”
