Fabio was a model who became famous in the late 80s/90s for posing as the male protagonist on the covers of romance novels. He got hit in the face by a goose while riding a roller coaster. I can’t find any reference to an Olympic skier by that name.

I thought Fabio was a male model who appeared on the covers of a lot of bodice-rippers. Doesn’t explain the joke, though. I’m not sure what the joke is with Paramount in the last panel, either.

March 30, 1999, Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Virginia. Fabio is in the front seat on the first ride of a new rollercoaster, Apollo’s Chariot.

A goose and his face literally collide during the ride. Dude’s face is a bloody mess at the end of the ride.

guero: Taylor Sheridan has helmed a bunch of hit series on Paramount, all based in the U.S. west: Yellowstone, 1883, 1923. So it’s…funny to have one not by him, only of course it really is? I guess?

OP appears to have confused vapid, mulleted, ladies’ man fashion model Fabio, and actually talented, not-mulleted, ladies’ man Olympic skiing champ Alberto Tomba.
‘Fabio getting hit in the face by a goose’ was a thing that happened someplace, sometime. One of those things where reading the headline was more than enough info.

Kim Kardashian has been studying to be a lawyer for the last few years. Not by going to law school, but through an apprenticeship, which is allowed in California. She just finished her apprenticeship and, as far as I know, would be eligible to take the bar exam now. (The exam is held twice a year, so her first opportunity to take the California bar exam would be next week.)

Been to Busch Gardens Williamsburg many times over the decades – used to go annually. Have never heard of this incident. (Also have never gone on Apollo’s Chariot as we both don’t go on amusement park rides other than the slow rides which stay level – and sometimes not even them – as husband suffers from motion sickness – general rule is “if he is not driving he cannot ride” – much “fun” taking home after the few surgeries he has had as I have to try not to get him sick with my driving. (I am the better driver of the two – something he admits to.)

On the other hand I am terrified of heights – so amusement park rides – not so much for us – walk around and see the sights and see the shows…
