It’s May 2, the average day of the last frost here in lovely northern Illinois.
Pools and beaches aren’t open yet, but JMcAndrew sends in some Hi and Lois swimsuit comics to get us in the mood: “Here are several Hi and Lois comics about swimsuits, some of which are just very bizarre. It’s apparently been a theme since the very early days of the comic.”

It’s interesting that Dot is complaining that she can’t wear a 2 piece bikini and also condemning the lady on the beach for not being modest enough.
Expose his belly button?
Not on network TV!
@Anonymous: Probably because those strips were drawn 15 or more years apart and were never meant to be seen on the same web page, or even in the same book compilation.
@Anonymous #2 are you saying that the past 70 years of Hi and Lois comic strips weren’t all carefully planned out in advance as a singular vision? When the comic started in 1954 he didn’t foresee that they would be digitally collected and shared using computer technology? My mind is literally blown!
