Concerning Cow Pie.
U Utah Phillips: Moose Turd Pie Well worth a listen for a laugh.
What a difference there is between a beef patty and a cow patty. I wonder if this ever causes a problem for tourists who know only a small amount of English. Brings a new meaning to “Two all beef patties, special sauce…”
Interesting thought, Mark. I’ve also heard them called cow pies. And when I wa a kid in Indiana, the local bakery had a confection which I think was called a cow pattie and looked rather like the real thing, but was really delicious. It was about 8-10 inches in diameter, maybe a quarter-inch thick, with somewhat flaky dough and heavily sugar-glazed.
I remember when ‘Cow Patti’ would play on the radio when I was young.
