Still there is some unclarity to the customer’s identity, and why they would order this outfit.

Probably when confronted by DEATH / the Grim Reaper a lot of people try to argue, and say he’s made a mistake, it’s too early, I’ve got things to do and people to see in Samarra tonight. Tired of this and to avoid arguments D / t.G.R. plans simply to point to his “shit happens” T-shirt and get on with his job.
Hooded cloak, scythe, skeletal hands and feet showing; I don’t know what would make the Grim Reaper’s identity more clear other than explicit dialogue or a name tag. Anyway, shit happens and then you die: A story as old as time, told in cave paintings, cuneiform, ancient scrolls, printed books, and now emojis.
I agree with both of the above, and I see no ambiguity whatsoever. Just curious, what’s the debate?
So, the Reaper got his shirt from Lio’s stand, as custom design? O…kay.

Oh, and there’s that Mark Tatulli signature floating in the open air again! (See https://wordpress.com/comments/approved/cidu.info/36595 )
Tatulli appears to have switched to the “complicated” signature around June 17th, 2013:
Before then he signed most strips with a simple “MT”, but a few strips don’t have any signature at all.
Lio and the Grim Reaper are pals. Not too surprisingly Death would patronize the stand.
