Metaphor for spilling his seed.
Good on dvandom for finding a relatively elevated way of stating the clear Arlo intent.
I am usually struck by McEldowney’s contradictory tendencies – – the sexual overtones and double meanings are always so blatant and in-your-face, but the romantic and family entanglements cannot be followed without a scorecard. Too many couples (and twinsets) are indistinguishable.

I kind of quit following the strip because I’m still using the backup computer at the fancy new apartment, and haven’t been at the suburban house much of late. And when I am there I’ve been getting some actual work done. I never started the strip on this one. Is that one of the twins?
@ MiB (3) – In this case it appears to be “spontan”.
@Brian – it’s one of the twins. She’s engaged to Alistair (Hugh and Xulian’s son), who we find out is 19 – Lolly is older by 3 or 4 years (the twins were shown with him as a newborn baby as I recall – May 9, 2023).
BTW, I was hoping for some more innocent explanation, but I guess I shouldn’t have…
So they worked which would have him. Good I suppose. I imagine he had little say in the matter.
