Looking for a song to fit your romantic situation? Randall Munroe has the answer:

In the alt-text, Munroe notes The Pina Colada Song covers the entire space in the course of the song.
John Atkinson helps us understand some of the common vocabulary of Valentine’s Day.

Impressive range of eras and styles for that songs chart!
How are “We are never ever ever getting back together” and “I will survive” not at the same value on the “Do you like me” scale?
I do agree. But I think of most of “I will survive” as told from her point of view before he came back (even though it’s sung afterward). While “We are…” seems more about what’s going on now. So I get the different placements.
But still well critiqued.
There’s three different Creep songs in the 90s but I’m guessing this was Radiohead’s
Skylar Grey had a song, “Back From the Dead” that was somewhat similar to “I Will Survive” but perhaps more ambivalent about the return.
I held the funeral the day you left
A black umbrella and a sad song in my head
Buried your pictures that I loved the most
‘Cause if you survived me, I just didn’t wanna know
So you can’t just come back now like a demon uninvited
No, you can’t just expect me to open my door to you because
I never thought that you and I would ever meet again,
I mourn the loss of you sometimes and pray for peace within,
The word “distraught” cannot describe how my heart has been,
But where do we begin now that you’re back from the dead?
