I would have thought (or at least hoped) that “washing kids’ mouths out with soap” would qualify for a geezer tag. (I had to explain the concept to my kids; that kind of abusive parental behavior is utterly unknown in Germany.)
Kilby, I think “washing kids’ mouths with with soap” was more of a threat than an actual occurrence. I never heard of it actually happening. And yes, I am a geezer.
