P.S. I liked the mysterious ending of the strip shown above before I discovered that McDonnell was going to reveal the answer in the next day’s strip. I also still prefer daily “Mutts” in monochrome, and really wish that Arcamax had not jumped on the “let’s color everything in sight” bandwagon.
Seem related to the Ents, who also talk … very … slowly …
@ Ryan (3) – At the risk of overdosing the CIDU audience with another flood of Tolkien lore, my impression was more that the Ents were extremely long-winded (rather than “slow”), taking forever to get to the end of a sentence, much like this one right here.
I got the point with the first strip. The follow-up was no surprise.
