    But. . . is he really in a black-and-white world, but in possession of colored paint? If so, I don’t see what that has to do with the joke. If not, that aspect of the drawing is a really confusing distraction.

    Gah! Don’t even mention Winky-Dink. I begged and begged my mother for the set with the plastic sheet and markers. She finally broke down and bought it for me, and they went off the air the next week. Traumatic? Yes, but at least it’s one of life’s little lessons learned early on.

    @ Dave – I didn’t think it was the “Spook”, I thought he was “Cousin It”. ;-)
    P.S. As a kid, I thought the jailer in “Id” was named “Turkney”. It wasn’t until years later that I discovered my error. Apparently I had misread “Turnkey” just once and glossed over it for years afterwards.
