Comics I Don't Understand 
I like this idea, Bill, but at the risk of sounding ignorant, I must confess that I’m a little confused as to why nesting dolls and gesundheit comics may be appearing in any great number in the coming future. My best guess is that the dolls have to do with the upcoming election/deep state and all that, and gesundheit due to the corona-virus, but I’m not sure.
Is there a reason, or do these things just appear a lot for whatever reason? I can’t say I’ve noticed them in the way I’ve noticed the death popping in and out at a constant rate.
In the latter weeks of the year, there were A LOT of gags based on those three tropes, so the question was whether Death could beat all three together.
The first ten days of the month suggest it’s not going to be even close; but who would gave suspected we’d see Pinocchio 3 times in the first few days?
So we’ll see what happens.

How come the DEATH comic I rec’d in my email notification is DIFFERENT than the one here? BOTH are funny, IMO . . .

It’s the Meinhof-Baader effect.
Yeah, I expect it’s Baader-Meinhof at work. (Well, the phenomenon named after them. Unlikely the actual German terrorist group has gone into cartooning.)
CarolZ: Well, in this case, it’s really the opposite, so Meinhof-Bader.
Andrea, I also got something in email that was not on site; but I don’t think it was a Death match entry. Clicking on the link in the email produced a http error.

Nope, it was a DEATHWATCH entry that is different in my email notification than what is showing on the website.
