My complaints are:
1) Deciphering HHHOL is not that hard. It’s not any harder than deciphering LOL.
2) Santa has a distinct laugh, true, but it’s still a laugh. There’s no reason he would in text LOL like everyone else. Unless he wants something distinctly Santa. …. in which case it’d be really easy to figure it out. “Oh, that’s just Santa being Santa.”

(whatever im we were using back in 2000 would play a sound “ho ho ho” when you sent this smiley, so it was a favorite, especially as — when the !@#$% are you ever going to use it?? (Ha! 20 years later, I finally found the place!)
Folly has it. When I read it as part of my daily feed, the only thing I could come up with was random characters because overweight Santa has fingers too fat for texting.
I also agree with woozy’s #2.

If I may make a small comment, I think the humour in these comments dwarfs that in the comic, which comes up short.
