I think this one falls under “yes, that’s all”. Turtle (and bird) are being rained on. Still being rained on. Turtle stands up (why? So it doesn’t hurt its neck?) and yells upward for whoever’s in charge – bird falls flat on its back, and comments blandly. I suppose it’s supposed to be incongruity, but it’s BC – everything is incongruous.
He stands up so he can cup his . . . hands? and shout more effectively.
I wonder if it has been raining a lot at Mr. Hart’s house.
Marshal: Mr. Hart has been dead for many years.
I sort of liked this one. But I do live in the Seattle area.
At first glance I was afraid that the call to the “management” was stepping back into Hart’s evangelical shoes, but it seems more likely that the turtle just has a bone to pick with the weatherman.
Shouldn’t it be the bird complaining? The tortoise can just go inside.
When the turtle called for a manager, I thought they were in a sports team, but I guess not.
In other news, apparently there’s a B.C. feature film in development, slated for a 2021 release.
Would that be 2021 A.D.?
No, says the pedant, that would be A.D. 2021. (Or, my preferred, 2021 C.E.)
