If you are a bad bowler, you need steel-toed shoes so you can kick the %$#! out of your opponent(s) when they get all smug.
“Throwing bowling balls through the ceiling? I’d be more impressed than anything else.”
It’s not impressive. Bowling balls weigh somewhere between 8 and 16 pounds, and most bowling lanes feature drop ceilings… literally made of plastic and cardboard.
There’s one right at the beginning of this video
This is LOL to me
In the video link from James Pollock, at around 3:34, a woman’s ball hits the ceiling and a spray of something comes non-stop at an angle out of the ceiling with the spray changing between white and black. I thought that might be an entertaining segment, even for non-bowlers.
I’ll confess that I didn’t watch the whole thing before posting… I found a whole bunch of similar videos, and picked the one where the guy throwing the ball through the ceiling comes right at the start of the video.
Search YouTube for “Bowling Fails”, and you’ve to probably an hour or two of video to watch, and I’m not sure how much is duplicated.
There was one where a guy nailed one of those overhead TVs.
Why is he wearing a bowling shoe on his head?
@ L.F. – I’m not sure which one you mean. The man behind the counter is wearing a purple baseball cap. The customer seems to have a decapitated pigeon clinging to his hair.
I haven’t bowled since I was a kid – and I did not do well then. I was known for the ball falling off mid “throw’ and going backwards. I think I made it to a score of 40 once.
“How likely are you to drop the ball on your own foot?”
Oh, and for the squirrel-type comment, I’ve seen YouTube videos of people throwing bowling balls through the ceiling.

Bill, unless you owned the lanes.
