But that dog must be older than George Burns would be.
When you look at the careers of many of the popular comedians who were big in the early days of TV or the early days of movies, it becomes clear than a common pattern is “He was a big TV star, and before that, he was a star on radio, and before that, he was a star in vaudeville.” I have no idea if a riff on this was the intention here, but it made me laugh.
Not only don’t I know what this means, I also don’t know why he
capitalized “vaudeville”.
