This is a follow-up of sorts to something we discussed some years ago either here or on the CJA or Crimeweek page (assuming one of them was active at the time; I can’t keep track of how many incarnations there’ve been since 2000).

Anyway, Crimeweek currently exists, so I’m shifting this over there.
