I’m probably missing a pun somewhere here. I get the movie reference, although I’ve never seen that movie.

They appear to have prematurely sent Clint/Harry to heaven for the sake of a dumb joke. God ‘makes’ Fridays because Harry tells him to…and then we ‘thank God’ for them?
Well, if you squint really hard, this could be a mash-up between “Dirty” Harry Callahan and Sgt. Joe Friday of Dragnet, which is a stretch just for the sake of a weak pun. And why would an omnipotent God be threatened by a mere .44 magnum pistol, anyway?
I had the same thought as Guero, mixup with Sgt. Friday. I was also a little confused because I assumed that was St. Peter, but it makes more sense if it’s supposed to be God. This comic is a dud.
The art is definitely more ‘Clint’ than ‘Jack Webb’. If the writer/artist(I’m not familiar with this panel, or either of the creators) have somehow conflated the two characters, then this is lobtomy-level stupid .
BTW what does Dirty Harry say when he goes into McDonalds?
“Go ahead. Make my lunch.”
This looks like an attempted play on God creating (making) things. An attempt that shouldn’t have gotten past the sketch book.
I think Brian (1) has it right, but I never would have come up with that.
“After the sixth day He intended to rest, but …”
Well, on the fifth day He intended to rest, but he was forced to add one more day, and so retconned it, so I guess in the end it was the sixth day…
