As we all know, the song posits that there must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found and placed on his head; so , it follows that if he’s still wearing the hat, irrespective of the state of his carrot nose, he should still be dancing around…
(Actually, the song is silent about his nose — that’s ANOTHER song I’m thinking of…)
The song does mention Frosty’s nose; he has “a button nose.”

Egads, you’re right! So this isn’t Frosty… But wait! He has NO nose! So obviously, it’s Frosty faking his own death for insurance fraud! But who will guide Santa’s sleigh? And the rabbit is innocent, since he’s Amish and thus has no use for buttons!
