Comics I Don't Understand 
The cat is taking its turn at “cooking” for them both and now the man realises from bitter experience what a deadly monotonous diet he has been feeding his feline friend.
I took it as the cat having had it up to here with the guy complaining about the cooking. If he wants something different, he can make it himself.
I believe the cat is angry because he’s criticizing the dinner she made. It’s just a different spin on the husband/wife dynamic seen in other comic strips.

I think Grumpy Cat gets a bad rap. His resting face is grumpy, that doesn’t mean his personality is grumpy. You should see my resting face. Or maybe not.
