Sad news — Denny Lien, known on CIDU as Shrug, has passed away.

I saw some memorial comments first at Comics Curmudgeon, where Shrug also was a frequent commenter.

P.S. For those who who like to see the initial announcement and the immediate reactions, it was in Saturday’s Curmudgeon (comment #136). Shrug’s last comment there appears to be 7:59am on Friday (#98).

Hi, Lola. There was some discussion of who would be taking care of the Shrug cats, but it was at the CaringBridge site, not here.

It looks like the family has established a less commercial “Kudos board” memorial at this site, and has transferred the comments from the first one as well as adding some pictures.
