Have we been seeing a lot more guillotine comics than usual lately?
I know, these things run in cycles, but this just seems like an odd one.

Comics I Don't Understand 
Since we’ve abandoned Deathmatch, maybe we could do guillotine vs Greek/ Roman legends. We could call it Head to Head, or something.
Having used up Death just _before_ the “lock yourself up or you’re dead” started…I can see guillotines coming to mind when someone’s scraping for a joke.
Cartoonists are always looking for ideas, so it only takes one or two to start a trend. “Hey, that’s a good idea! What can I do like that?”
