The normal thing is to look worse than your profile picture. So somewhere there’s humor lurking in the caption. But it must be a horrible picture if that man is not as heavy as he looked. And I guess the fact that he can lift her that way is part of his comment that came before this, where he said she wasn’t as heavy as she looked in the picture.

Yeah, multiple misfire. In addition to what Arthur has pointed out, *she* isn’t lifting *him* so how is she saying his weight is less than she thought?

Okay, well, how about the sense of “a heavy” from crime movies (and related to pro wrestling entertainment) – a threatening or thuggish bad guy.

Yeah, it’s a pun as previous commenters have said. He’s using the word literally as in “hard to lift” while she’s using it as “overweight”.

    Aren’t those the same meaning?

woozy, shhhh! They worked on their explanation. Don’t logic it. :)

He’s not heavy. He’s her brother.

Toward the end of the date she told me “You aren’t as funny as you look in your profile picture.”

    “Aren’t those the same meaning?“

Not exactly. One could be 4 feet tall with a gut and be called “heavy” because of said gut. Doesn’t mean they weigh a lot.

While I did think of other meanings of “heavy”, I don’t think that was where this comic was heading. I think it simply a play on his saying that she didn’t look like her profile picture (a common trope) but taken to absurdity. I wouldn’t say this situation would be appropriate in real life.
