It was a running gag. And a pretty funny one if you are in the right mood for it. My baby sister and I liked it.

Looney Tunes isn’t about jokes. Its about …. oh I dunno… the futility of humanity or something. I actually find this much much much funnier than I did as a child.

When I was a child, Yosemite Sam was probably the least favorite of Bugs Bunny’s foils. Reviewing these clips I find him hilarious. He was a perfect expression of bundled irritated frustration.

woozy, I agree. Yosemite Sam is a hoot when you’re an adult. But then a lot of loonytoons is better when you’re an adult.

My favorite line from Foghorn Leghorn was after an explosion that blew all his feathers off. “I keep, I say I keep my feathers numbered for just such an occasion.”

ignatzz – there is a certain level of incompetence where it is embarrassing for everyone involved, not just the failing person. There certainly isn’t any glory or satisfaction from beating someone who doesn’t even stay on his horse.
