    I agree. It’s the contrast between Santa’s route and the nice, clean, simple route you’re used to on your own GPS.

    That’s the joke, yes.

    My complaint is there should be some clusters of bad children.
    Were I executing this cartoon from scratch, there’d be a big empty circle in the middle, labeled as a prison or reform school… no stops there. Or I might go political, and put a bigger circle around Washington, D.C.

    @AngrySantaElf (aka Ces of Sally Forth et al) opined that the got their route planning by studying the paths figures took in those old electric shake-table football games.

    We figured out that if Santa starts at the International Date line he has a lot more time to get his route done than people normally figure – over a day.
