I read it as “If I die (of eating the cake Dad baked), don’t let him bake any more”. Though it’s probably largely just because of the rhyme – wake, cake. It’s the kid’s birthday, I assume from the hat (though it could also be a very stiff nightcap…but party hat is fractionally more likely than a kid wearing a nightcap.
