Leaping lemmings are right behind cavemen with dinosaurs in my hate parade. Where’s the missing lynx?
I guess lemming cartoons were not after all put to bed forever by Mankoff’s “What lemmings believe”.
Lemmings only jump off cliffs if the script says so.
But jumping off cliffs en masse is kind of a cultish thing to do. And some book clubs are kind of cultish (“this month, we’re reading ‘Atlas Shrugged’. Again.”)

If the fact that lemmings don’t jump off cliffs didn’t put them to bed why would that single cartoon?
I *think* the comic just implies that he got in the wrong line.
I thought it was implying that book club members all do the same things together (such as reading the same book at the same time, and/or having the same opinion about it).
