Presumably to be “plausible” it has to be a real pic of the chap in question, just a few years out of date (a friend of mine has had as her Facebook profile for some years a picture I took of her in 1980). An implausible attempt at generating superficial desirability would be, say, Danny de Vito using Brad Pitt’s image on his profile.
Funnily, I read the punchline as “plausible deniability” I completely missed the “desirability” bit. :-)
