Something to do with security clearance? The security clearance is high so only a general is there and …. yeah…. all I get is “it’s funny ’cause they’re going to die”….. But it’s got to have something to do with the security clearance
Just some dark humor. The experts behind the door have had a little mishap.
But why did they have to open the door? Couldn’t they have used the intercom? Or is that why this is funny?
I think my new go-to explanation is going to be: “It’s people, in a drawing, talking!”

“Just some dark humor. The experts behind the door have had a little mishap.”
That’d work if the go said “Oops” or “By the way do you have a mop” or “Gosh, just call me butterfingers” or something understated but an advice to “run” isn’t funny. It’s something scary that could happen.
So…
“It’s people, in a drawing, talking!”
I figured the humor was in the bad move. Try to warn the general away, but open the door to do so letting the superbug out on him and all of us.
I thought itt was like that (old) joke: “See that guy? He’s with the bomb squad. If you see him running, try to keep up.”
I was about to post what Chak already said. I’ve also seen T-shirts with the same joke on the back:
BOMB SQUAD
If you see me running, try to keep up
“Pleased to meet you, Rose Tyler. Run for your life.”
Ha-ha indeed. They’re all going to die. Ha-ha!
