This was LOL for me – the pencil and paper had a quick scribble as their version of a one night stand, and the paper is already regretting it. Don’t think too hard about what the scribble above the eyes is supposed to mean.

On the bright side, they just penciled the results in and nobody tore anything even when the paper had a good time getting herself all doggy eared.

Abortion joke. They made a mistake, so they’re going to get rid of it. That’s why pencils have erasers and that’s why there is abortion. A controversial strip.

One of the “abstinence only sex ed” arguments is that a virginal woman is like a clean sheet of paper, and who’d want a sheet that’s been scribbled all over?

This was a LOL for me, too. Although I’m surprised nobody has mentioned head-banging and headboards yet.

dvandom, I think you have the information that lets me understand what’s going on. But, since it’s just a graphing representation, I don’t think it’s funny. I agree with tygalilee that the comments are much better than the comic.

Oddly, my initial impression was that the pencil was female and the paper male. Maybe because of size. Of course, no reason why they couldn’t be same sex.

I think Chak ( https://godaddyandthesquirrelmustbothdie.wordpress.com/2018/08/30/2085/#comment-10491 ) has it. The paper and pencil assumed that their general physical differences would not matter, but a the paper discovered to her(?) consternation that the point of the pencil’s forehead kept bumping into her(?) own forehead despite both of them trying to prevent it. Regretfully, she realized that they are not physically compatible enough for the long term. I mean what’s the point? ;)
