With a little googling I now know a little bit more about kangaroo hygiene: Momma is able to lick her pouch clean.
So… human babies live in their mother’s uterus for nine months without a diaper.
… which admittedly I wondered about during my mothers last pregnancy.
No intake via the digestive system, no output. Doesn’t cover the joey, who’s suckling for that time…but it’s not much worse than kittens or baby birds.
