    And “memento mori” is damned esoteric for a comic strip.

  2. That article says ‘The actual words are transliterated as “Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin” ‘, so I guess this would be funny to someone who knew that.

    Meanwhile, I did get a good laugh from the chicken lacrossing the road.

  3. I took it as sort of implicit dialog: You think doing laundry is fun? Hogwash!
    But then it may be a problem that it is also doing a literalization pun on a hog washing…

    The art style of the “Hogwash” comic just hurts my eyes.

    Maybe a little too esoteric for Bizarro if the thinks “memento” has something to do with remembering things or people past.
